Launch of Public Consultations for a BC Aquaculture Open-Net Pen Transition Plan
August 17, 2022

The Department of Fisheries & Oceans has opened up a public consultation on the open-net pen transition plan in British Columbia. This provides an opportunity for British Columbians, including First Nations and the aquaculture industry, to provide their views on the future of aquaculture in the province.

A discussion framework has been developed to support these conversations. The input gathered through this process will be used to inform the development of the transition plan. Responses will be accepted until October 5, 2022.

Share your thoughts, ideas, opinions and concerns about the transition here.
