Today Muslims across the world celebrate Eid-al-Adha, marking the end of the holy pilgrimage of Hajj. Hajj serves as an opportunity of self-renewal for Muslims allowing them to reaffirm their faith, recommit to values of charity and community building.
Eid al-Adha begins in the evening of July 9 to the following night on July 10th, depending on moonsighting. Some families celebrate Eid for the next few days as well.
Join me in wishing the Muslim community in Fleetwood—Port Kells a wonderful time with family and friends as they celebrate Eid al-Adha. Eid al-Adha marks the end of the holy pilgrimage known as Hajj. This day serves as an opportunity to reflect on lessons of sacrifice, compassion, and helping those in need.
From my family to yours, Eid Mubarak!
