National Tourism Week 2022
May 30, 2022

Today marks the start of National Tourism Week 2022.

Thanks to Canada’s high vaccination rates, wide open spaces, cultural and Indigenous tourism experiences, boundless natural beauty, and world-class cosmopolitan centres, we are ready to once again showcase all the incredible visitor experiences the country has to offer.

Tourism is a major economic driver and one of our country’s most diverse and inclusive employers. Our tourism industry’s recovery is critical to larger economic and job growth, and the Government of Canada continues to support tourism businesses as they move from recovery to sustainable growth.

This week, we invite all those involved in the rebuilding of Canadian tourism to join in and help reclaim our visitor economy because we have what the world is looking for right now in the safe, beautiful, and unforgettable experience we offer our visitors.

On National Tourism Week, let’s rebuild, recover and reclaim our visitor economy, from coast-to-coast-to-coast.
