May marks Jewish Heritage Month.

It serves as a time to recognize the important contributions that Jewish Canadians make to Canada’s social, economic, political and cultural fabric. Let's take an opportunity to remember, celebrate and educate future generations about the inspirational role that Jewish Canadians have played and continue to play in communities across the country.

We also acknowledge the genocides, persecution, and hardships the Jewish community has endured that led to seek safety in Canada. That is why, during these uncertain times, this month is an opportunity for all of us to recommit our solidarity with Jewish Canadians and stand together against antisemitism and discrimination in all its forms, no matter where they occur in our communities.

We invite all Canadians to reflect on and learn more about the inspirational role that Jewish Canadians have played and continue to play in communities across the country.
