Canada Digital Adoption Program
March 10, 2022

The Prime Minister and Minister Ng announced the launch of the Canada Digital Adoption Program  – a $4 billion investment to help SMEs across Canada grow their business online or boost their business technology.

Small businesses are the backbone of the Canadian economy and are crucial in driving a strong, sustainable, and inclusive economic recovery from the pandemic. Expanding digital adoption for businesses of all sizes is critical for them to thrive and for Canada’s long-term growth and competitiveness.

The CDAP is now open to applications for small businesses across Canada, offering grants, interest free loans, and a national network of expert service providers to help businesses succeed in the digital economy. Whether it’s businesses seeking to adopt e-commerce or those looking for ways to leverage digital technology to improve their productivity, I encourage SMEs in Fleetwood—Port Kells to consider applying for CDAP.

Technology and e-commerce have helped businesses stay open, access new customers, and become more competitive.

Under the CDAP, Canadian small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) will be able to assess their digital readiness and apply for grants and loans online. This funding will help them leverage e-commerce opportunities, upgrade or adopt digital technologies, and digitize their operations to stay competitive and meet their customers’ needs in the digital marketplace. Depending on their size, specific needs, and goals, businesses can apply for funding through the Grow Your Business Online or Boost your Business Technology streams.

Through grants, interest free loans, a national network of expert digital advisory services, and providing nearly 30,000 placements for young Canadians, we are supporting small businesses to lead in the digital economy, creating jobs and generating long-term growth.

Accelerating the digital transformation will help Canadian businesses stay competitive while creating jobs and growing the economy, as we recover from the pandemic.
