Canadian small businesses and entrepreneurs have shown incredible resilience throughout the pandemic. We will continue to be there to support them through COVID-19 for as long as it takes, with whatever it takes.

That’s why today, our Liberal government announced we are extending the Canada Emergency Businesses Account (CEBA) and Regional Relief and Recovery Fund repayment deadlines to the end of 2023 for eligible businesses.

With the recent surge of omicron, many small businesses continue to need support and flexibility. That is why the federal government is extending the CEBA and Regional Relief and Recovery Fund repayment deadlines to the end of 2023 for eligible businesses. 

These extensions will support short-term economic recovery and offer greater repayment flexibility to small businesses and not-for-profit organizations, many of which are facing renewed challenges.

This is in addition to the extension of the Canada Recovery Hiring Program, the expansion of the Local Lockdown Program and the Canada Worker Lockdown Benefit, and the launch of the new Tourism and Hospitality Recovery Program and the Hardest-Hit Business Recovery Program.

As we continue to support Canadians through the pandemic and drive a strong and inclusive economic recovery, we will keep standing up for Canadian small businesses.
