Valentines for Vets
January 10, 2022

Let’s brighten a Veteran’s day on February 14!

Valentines for Vets is a program that takes your Valentine’s Day cards and delivers them to Veterans in long-term care facilities across Canada.

For more than 25 years, Canadians have been creating and sending Valentines for Vets. It’s a way to show Canada’s Veterans how thankful we are for their service, and it always brings a smile to the folks who receive them.

Veterans deserve our thanks and recognition – on Valentine’s Day and all year long. Join me in sending Valentine’s Day cards to Veterans in long-term care facilities across Canada.

It’s simple—

  1. Create Valentines for Vets with a video, pictures, or by hand;
  2. Post on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, tagging Veterans Affairs by using #CanadaRemembers;
  3. Read the stories of Canadian Veterans
  4. Encourage your friends, family and followers to do the same; and
  5. Share others’ remembrance posts that resonate with you.

Cards should be mailed to:

Valentines for Vets

Veterans Affairs Canada

Commemoration, Distribution Unit

125 Maple Hills Avenue

Charlottetown, PE  C1C 0B6

They will then be sent to participating long-term care facilities across the country.

I encourage you to participate in this wonderful tradition. Together, we can show our appreciation to those who’ve proudly served our country.
