Holiday Cheer Cards to Veterans
December 6, 2021

As we kick off the holiday season, I hope you’ll all consider taking some time to show your appreciation for the folks who’ve served our country in uniform.

This year, we’re once again encouraging Canadians to send cards to Veterans and members of the Canadian Armed Forces. It’s been another difficult year for them, and the demands of their jobs mean that a number of them will be away from home during the holidays.

Sending a card is one of the ways we can show our support for them, and while it may be a small gesture, it’s a powerful reminder of our promise to never forget their sacrifices.

Veterans Affairs Canada has put together some tips and advice on to help anyone write their very own holiday card, including a list of places to send them. You can access that guide here.

After you’ve made a card, it is a great idea to share it on your social media channels and tag #CanadaRemembers to highlight this important initiative and encourage as many people as possible to take part.

This December, I hope you’ll join me in expressing our gratitude for the folks who so bravely serve our nation each and every day.
