Member of Parliament for Fleetwood—Port Kells
Constituency Youth Council

As your Member of Parliament for the riding of Fleetwood - Port Kells, I invite all young Canadians to reach out if interested in participating in our Constituency Youth Council.

What? The Constituency Youth Council is an opportunity for youth to learn about Canada’s political process, discuss their viewpoints on issues, and most importantly, get involved in their communities. Projects undertaken by past Constituency Youth Councils have ranged from food drives to multimedia projects. Furthermore, past councils have discussed the importance of issues involving climate change, gender equality, and youth employment. This year’s council will have the chance to build on these discussions and embark on projects that will positively impact our community.

Why? Giving youth a voice is vital to our government. A youth perspective brings a new light to issues touching our community, and our country. The CYC in Fleetwood-Port Kells is working hard to be the youth voice for our community, and as your Member of Parliament, I intend to bring this perspective with me, upon my return to Ottawa.

When? Meeting information for the Constituency Youth Council will be distributed to interested participants.

How? To apply, applicants must complete and submit an application form which is available at the link below.
